What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology
- State certification as a School Psychologist
- At least two years of experience, including an internship in a similar setting
- Solid foundation in psychoeducational assessment, formal and informal evaluations, and report writing
- Ability to consult effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and outside professionals
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Proficiency with data analysis, recordkeeping, and preparing clear, comprehensive reports
- Facility with computers and educational technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer comprehensive psychoeducational, behavioral, and personality assessments
- Share findings with teachers and parents, supporting special education eligibility determinations
- Provide individual and group counseling to foster positive student mental health
- Participate in Student Assessment Teams and multi-disciplinary committees
- Collaborate in developing IEPs and coordinate crisis intervention services, when needed
- Serve as a liaison to medical, mental health, and social service agencies
- Guide staff and parents through in-service training sessions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and guidelines
- Maintain meticulous records and handle reporting for programs such as Medicaid reimbursement
