Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapy license for Michigan (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Experience with school-based physical therapy preferred
- Comfortable working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities, including those with complex physical needs
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, staff, and families
- Adaptability and compassion in a dynamic school environment
- No PTA supervision required for this role
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in a center-based program
- Conduct assessments; develop and track individualized treatment and mobility plans
- Collaborate with special education staff, administrators, and families as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Document progress and adjust interventions in accordance with students’ evolving needs
- Support transitions and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Contribute to an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
