Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working as an OT in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process, developing appropriate therapy goals, and documenting progress
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs related to fine motor, sensory processing, daily living, and adaptive skills
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student participation and success in school activities
- Maintain accurate records and prepare regular progress reports for case managers and parents
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical expertise to educational teams
- Offer consultation and training to educators and family members to carry over strategies in educational settings
