School Occupational Therapist - Oakland, California

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year! This unique opportunity takes place in the Mill Valley area with a part-time commitment—just one day each week, allowing you the flexibility to focus on developing individualized strategies that benefit students and collaborate with dedicated school teams.

You’ll help create positive outcomes for children with diverse needs, using your clinical expertise in a school-based setting from August through June. This role is ideal for experienced OTs who thrive when building strong relationships and enriching the educational experience for elementary and middle school students.

Qualifications:

• Valid, active Occupational Therapist license in California
• Experience providing OT services in school environments
• Pediatric background strongly preferred
• Outstanding communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for fostering student growth and functional independence

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to educational goals
• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings as a valued team member
