This is a contract opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist ready to make an immediate impact for K-5 learners. The position is based at elementary schools and provides a stable, full-time schedule through June 2027.
Key Experience and Licensure Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Maryland
- Experience working in school settings, ideally with elementary-aged children (K-5)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, families, and educational staff
- Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse learning and developmental needs
- Knowledge of IEP development and participation in meetings is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted OT services to elementary students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess and document students’ needs, progress, and outcomes
- Collaborate with educators and paraprofessionals to support student participation in school activities
- Provide consultative guidance to staff and families for at-home support strategies
- Maintain accurate records and support compliance with all educational and special education regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings related to student progress
