You’ll work directly with a diverse population of students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence in their communication abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds valid SLP credentials with Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience, practicum, or strong interest in school-based settings
- Comfortable working with elementary-aged students (K-5th)
- Resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative with classroom staff and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 25-30 students, focusing on speech and language interventions within a resource framework
- Assess, develop, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and targeted therapy plans
- Engage students in creative, evidence-based therapeutic activities
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and maintain compliance with district and federal guidelines
- Participate in meetings and consult with teachers and parents to support overall student success
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:25am to 4:00pm, for a total of 35.5 hours per week
