School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Birmingham, Alabama

Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Speech Language Pathology (SLP) License required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience in a school setting supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade is highly desirable
• Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy planning skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, goals, and therapy outcomes
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as an integral member of the educational team
• Engage in professional development and utilize provided mentorship to continue growing your skills
