Make a real difference this summer by providing expert care and support as a Physical Therapist during the Extended School Year (ESY) program! Work with K-12 students in a supportive school setting from July 1st to July 30th, Monday through Thursday, from 7:45am to 1:00pm, in the Stratford, CT area. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license for Connecticut (or eligible to obtain)
- Experience working in schools, especially with K-12 populations
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt activities to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students ages K-12, primarily during ESY programming
- Collaborate with educators and other related service providers to ensure comprehensive care
- Implement and track progress toward IEP goals
- Complete required documentation and maintain detailed records in accordance with state/school guidelines
- Adjust therapy interventions based on student progress and feedback
- Support safe student participation across summer school environments
