Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, active Physical Therapist license required
- Experience in school-based settings or pediatric care is preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and individualized treatment planning
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Skilled in adapting therapeutic interventions to a variety of student abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with educational goals
- Deliver direct therapy services within classrooms or designated therapy spaces
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attending meetings and providing progress reports
- Document interventions and maintain accurate, timely records
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student participation and mobility
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
