School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - North Adams, Massachusetts

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1 years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role involves providing support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within a school-based setting near North Adams, MA. The primary caseload focuses on elementary students, with some possibility of working with middle and high schoolers depending on student needs and scheduling.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, active and in good standing
• Prior school-based experience preferred, but new graduates passionate about working with children will be considered
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with OT supervisors, educators, and families
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments, schedules, and student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy sessions to support students’ IEP goals under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Assist with implementing therapeutic activities that enhance fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to school and regulatory requirements
• Support classroom staff in the use of adaptive equipment and strategies to foster student participation
• Contribute observations during team meetings and assist with data collection and assessments as requested
