Step into a supportive role dedicated to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in an elementary or middle school setting for the 2026/2027 school year. As a Behavior Interventionist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you’ll build strong connections while implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs. Your day may include providing 1:1 support or serving as a rover, adapting flexibly to the dynamic needs of students and classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver consistent, direct 1:1 behavioral intervention services within a school environment
- Follow individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with accuracy and compassion
- Apply positive reinforcement techniques and evidence-based strategies to encourage positive behavior
- Assist students in developing communication, social, and adaptive life skills
- Collect, monitor, and record timely data reflecting student progress
- Maintain regular, clear communication—written and verbal—regarding treatment goals
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and clinical teams
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
- Document daily progress and behavioral outcomes
What You’ll Need:
- For Behavior Interventionist (BI): Bachelor’s degree in a human services field OR bachelor’s degree with at least 24 upper-division credits in human services, plus one year of supervised experience with children with developmental disabilities
- For RBT: Current RBT certification preferred; must complete 40-hour RBT training if not already certified (training provided)
- Minimum age 18, valid driver’s license, ability to pass an Idaho Department of Health and Welfare background check
- CPR/First Aid certification (provided or must be obtained upon hire)
- Willingness to participate in monthly trainings and ongoing supervision
