Occupational Therapist School Setting - Oakland, CA

Exciting opportunity for a skilled school-based Occupational Therapist to make a difference working with K-8 students! This contract position is conveniently located near Oakland, CA, offering a meaningful chance to support students’ growth and development in an educational setting. This role is ideal for OTs seeking a part-time schedule, as you'll work 6-10 hours per week across five days, balancing impactful work with personal flexibility.

Qualifications:

• Current California Occupational Therapist License is required
• Previous experience in a school setting highly desirable
• Ability to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Compassion for supporting students with diverse needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-8 students, both individually and in small groups
• Assess and document students’ needs, progress, and goals in compliance with IEPs and school guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation and success
• Adapt and modify classroom tools, materials, and environments for students’ unique needs
• Maintain accurate records and timely communication with staff and families
• Attend IEP meetings as an essential member of the support team
