Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
- Adaptable approach to meet varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students in accordance with IEP goals and best practices
- Conduct assessments, develop interventions, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to support each student’s progress
- Offer strategies for classroom modifications and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Work with a diverse caseload, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
