Middle School Science Teacher in Victoria, KS

Inspire the next generation of thinkers as a Middle School Science Teacher with a contract role beginning in August 2027 (or potentially January 2027) and continuing through May 2028. You’ll work with Grades 7-9, fostering curiosity and scientific exploration in a supportive middle school environment. This position offers flexibility: you can opt for a full 8-hour day or a 4-hour partial schedule, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching license or credential for General Education Science (grades 7-9).
• Experience teaching science in a middle school setting is highly valued.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging, student-centered learning atmosphere.
• Organized, communicative, and dedicated to fostering academic growth.
• Comfortable planning and executing curriculum, assessing student progress, and adapting instruction as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct and energize students in science concepts across 6 classes with a designated plan period, or 4 classes with a plan period if part-time.
• Design lesson plans and activities that align with standards while sparking scientific curiosity.
• Assess and support diverse learners, modifying instruction to ensure all students thrive.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, discovery, and a love of science.
