Secondary Special Education Teacher

Tri-County Special Education Services and Ft. Larned USD 495 are looking for a Secondary Special Education Teacher for the 2025-26 school year! This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Kansas teaching license with the appropriate Special Education endorsement (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to design and implement individualized instruction
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to collaboration and student-centered learning

Essential Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, individualized instruction to meet student needs
• Use effective teaching strategies and adjust instruction based on student progress
• Assess student abilities, monitor progress, and provide regular reports
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
• Follow state statutes, school board policies, and district regulations
• Attend meetings, serve on committees, and complete assigned duties
• Maintain accurate records and ensure student safety and well-being
• Stay current on best instructional practices, including educational technology
