What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Clerk position at ProCare Rx?
Location: Onsite, Miramar, FL
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage.
- Code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Submit claims to insurance companies and government programs.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.
- Process patient payments and refunds.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records.
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years of experience in medical billing or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical billing software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree or Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires sitting, standing, and occasional light lifting.
