Automation Test Lead – Embedded QA

Location: Chicago, IL

Work Mode: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Lead with strong expertise in Selenium and enterprise QA automation frameworks to lead testing initiatives for large-scale embedded and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience managing hybrid teams across onsite, offshore, and nearshore environments within enterprise or financial services domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end QA and test automation initiatives across enterprise applications
• Create and execute comprehensive Test Plans, Test Strategies, and automation frameworks
• Design and implement automated testing solutions using Selenium, UFT, Postman, SoapUI, and REST services
• Collaborate with development, business, and infrastructure teams to ensure quality delivery
• Analyze testing metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive quality best practices
• Lead distributed teams across onsite, offshore, and nearshore locations
• Manage defect tracking, reporting, and test lifecycle activities using Jira, Zephyr, and HP ALM
• Support CI/CD and version control processes using Git or Bitbucket

Required Skills

• 5–7 years of QA/Test Automation experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium automation
• Experience with HP ALM, UFT, TOSCA, Confluence, Jira, and Zephyr
• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and automation strategies
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or SoapUI
• Knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server databases
• Experience with Git or Bitbucket version control tools
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Previous financial services or banking domain experience preferred

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AWS or Cloud technologies
• Experience leading hybrid/global QA teams
• Strong reporting, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities
