Description

Position Summary

The Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of all technology systems across the organization, ensuring a secure, reliable, and efficient IT environment that supports both clinical and business operations. This role oversees infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and system performance across all clinic locations. The Director ensures the seamless operation and integration of all core systems including EMR platforms, Microsoft 365, user accounts, .com and .net email domains, network infrastructure, system migrations, printers, and phone systems while aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & IT Governance

Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with operational and business objectives

  • Lead technology modernization and
  • system migration initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Oversee IT budgeting, resource allocation, and long-term technology planning to support scalability and operational excellence
  • .
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, and best practices for data security, compliance, and system reliability
  • .
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to implement technology solutions that enhance patient care, staff efficiency, and organizational performance
  • .

Systems & Infrastructure Management

Direct the management, configuration, and maintenance of all core systems, including EMR, Microsoft 365, local networks, and cloud-based applications
  • .
  • Oversee the
  • setup, management, and deactivation of user accounts, ensuring proper access permissions for EMR, email, network, and phone systems.
  • Administer and support
  • .com and .net email environments, ensuring secure, efficient communication systems across all locations.
  • Manage the implementation and ongoing support of
  • system migrations, integrations, and upgrades, maintaining business continuity and data integrity.
  • Oversee the performance and functionality of
  • printers, phone systems, and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Maintain inventory and lifecycle management of all IT assets, including hardware, phones, printers, and software licenses
  • .
  • Ensure consistent uptime, connectivity, and system reliability across all clinical and business environments.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and controls to protect organizational data and patient information

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and internal data governance requirements
  • .
  • Oversee regular system audits, access reviews, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Lead incident response, data recovery, and
  • post-migration security validation processes.

Operational Support & Team Leadership

Manage the IT support function to ensure prompt and effective resolution of technical issues across departments and clinics

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to IT staff, fostering accountability, responsiveness, and customer service excellence
  • .
  • Establish and track performance metrics for IT service delivery, uptime, and response times
  • .
  • Partner with department leaders to proactively identify technology needs and implement practical, secure solutions
  • .
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring timely configuration of computers, EMR access, email accounts, and phone extensions for all staff
  • .

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Manage relationships with technology vendors, EMR providers, telecom carriers, and managed service partners
  • .
  • Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and service-level agreements for all IT-related services, including phone and printer systems
  • .
  • Serve as the key liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment during technology initiatives and system transitions
  • .

Requirements:

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
  • .

Experience:

Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role
  • .
  • Proven success managing IT operations in a healthcare or multi-site environment
  • .
  • Hands-on experience with system migrations, EMR administration, and user account management
  • .
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, .com/.net email systems, phone infrastructure, and printer management
  • .
  • Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, compliance, and IT governance
  • .

Skills & Competencies:

Strategic thinker with strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • .
  • Deep understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and information security best practices
