What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at ProActive Solutions USA?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all financial, accounting and business activities for the entire organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY
1. Accounts Payable activities, Accounts Receivable, Cash App, Sales and Use Tax filing for multiple states. Ensures accuracy and timeliness of vendor invoice processing, including payment.
2. Follow up on, collect and allocate customer payments.
3. Maintain accounting records, prepares and analyzes financial statements and reports, prepares general account reconciliations as well as monthly trial balance analysis of account variances.
4. Participates in monthly ledger close by preparing and/or ensuring the accurate and complete recording of financial transactions in accordance with deadlines as determined by management.
5. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, payroll, and HR related data.
6. Participate in the regular maintenance and detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts.
7. Prepare documentation for external auditor including participating in the preliminary and annual fiscal year-end financial audit.
8. Support timely monthly financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals.
9. Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
10. Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements and uploading to the state portal.
11. Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Education and Experience:
· Associate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience required, and bachelor’s degree preferred
· 3-5 Years of Accounting Experience
· Knowledge of SAP Business One system a plus
