Our client specializes in selling businesses valued between $1mm and $20mm . Our client has sold hundreds of businesses and knows what buyers are looking for and has built a database of over 14,000 buyers including individuals, serial entrepreneurs, private equity, and industry strategies. Our client has developed a proprietary CRM system to more efficiently market and sell businesses in the lower middle market.
Location: Santa Monica, CA- 100% Remote Role and Required CA DRE license
Job Description:
As a Business Broker you will take advantage of the opportunity to build or continue a successful career in commercial real estate as a 1099 professional. You will be developing leads; analyzing, valuing, and positioning businesses for sale, and managing the process from start to finish. Our client targets businesses with gross sales ranging from $1mm to $50mm, placing them on the higher end of Business Brokering and well into the lower M&A space.
Responsibilities:
- 100% emphasis on finding new business contacts through prospecting, outreach, networking, referrals, in-person meetings, presentations, LinkedIn connections, and events.
- Access to many leads (direct access to approximately 17,000 registered buyers through the strong internal CRM)
- Entrepreneurial and driver mentality, be a self-starter, and require low management
- Consult with clients to understand their unique needs and develop productive plans to address them
- Work collaboratively with the lender and other parties to create ideal client solutions together
- Obtain commercial real estate license
Compensation & Benefits:
- Incredible training and ramping to advance skillset from real estate success to also include business brokering
- 1099 opportunity with 60% commission on fee which increases to 65% after 12 months
- Average deal size is $1M-$5M (Fee collected is $100k-$500k, and commission to individual is $60k-$300k)
- 1st Year (Ramping) Earnings: $50k depending on financial knowledge and commercial experience which then could be $150,000 ; this can be taught, this is a proven system!
- Target 2nd Year Earnings: $150k -$200k
- Target 3-5 Year Earnings: $250k - $300k
Individuals with a commercial real estate license, business broker experience, M & A experience, financial knowledge or P & L experience are a great fit and quicker ramp to commissions. The systems are proven and the tools provided to enhance success in this field. While it may take some time to ramp up, individuals will have flexibility to work a current job, projects etc while learning this business. Owner is committed to your success!
