What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Growth Marketer position at Proaction?
About the Role
We're looking for a Founding Growth Marketer to own our go-to-market engine. You'll build and scale the systems that drive pipeline from content and SEO/AEO to demand gen and partnerships. This is a foundational hire who will shape how Proaction grows from early traction to market leadership.
What You'll Do
- Own the full growth strategy: demand gen, content marketing, SEO/AEO, paid channels, partnerships, and events
- Build and optimize the top of funnel by driving qualified intent and convert it into pipeline
- Work closely with sales to align on ICP, messaging, and lead quality
- Launch and iterate on campaigns targeting fleet operators, directors, and VP-level buyers
- Build the marketing function from the ground up by defining the team, tools, and processes
- Lead with data! Own marketing analytics and reporting to know what's working from input → output
- Leverage AI tools across content creation, audience research, campaign optimization, and analytics to move faster than a team twice your size
What We're Looking For
- 5 years in B2B SaaS marketing with at least 2 years in a growth or demand gen leadership role
- Proven track record of building pipeline at an early-stage company (seed to Series B)
- Strong analytical skills: you're comfortable with attribution, funnel metrics, and CAC/LTV
- Hands-on executor who can also think strategically. You'll be doing the work and setting the direction
- Experience with content-led growth, SEO/AEO, and multi-channel campaigns
- Bonus: experience marketing to fleet, logistics, or operations buyers
AI at Proaction
We're an AI-native company. Every team member receives a dedicated monthly AI token budget, and we expect you to use it. We believe the best work happens when people use AI as a daily collaborator — whether that's drafting content, analyzing campaign performance, building automations, or generating insights from customer data. If you're excited about working at the frontier of how AI changes the way teams operate, you'll fit right in.
Why Proaction
You'll be the first marketing hire at a company with real product-market fit and a massive addressable market. The fleet industry is ripe for a modern brand — you'll have the freedom to define what that looks like and the resources to execute on it.
