Duties
- Lead and coordinate the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of low-voltage electrical systems including fire alarms, CCTV surveillance, access control, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication systems.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical blueprints to ensure precise system design and integration.
- Manage field service operations by diagnosing equipment issues using hand tools and power tools, performing equipment troubleshooting, and executing repairs efficiently.
- Oversee the wiring of low-voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex security system problems involving CCTV cameras, alarm & access control systems, sensors, remote access software, and network connectivity.
- Supervise team members in installing door security system integrations, cabling infrastructure, and interconnecting various security devices for seamless operation.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, schematics interpretation, installation procedures, and service reports for quality assurance and future reference.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs; assist in alarm system sales by providing expert advice on system design and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in low-voltage electrical systems, security systems installation, or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and cabling techniques for electrical wiring projects.
- Extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems, CCTV surveillance equipment, sensors (motion detectors), IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), access control hardware, and telecommunication infrastructure.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret complex schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with NEC standards for low-voltage wiring installations; understanding of electrical blueprint reading is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike.
- Experience in construction or large-scale installation projects involving security or telecommunication systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of remote access software solutions for security monitoring; familiarity with locksmithing or physical security measures is a plus.
- Valid experience in troubleshooting equipment failures related to low-voltage systems; ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously; strong organizational skills are essential.

Pay: $24.97 - $45.00 per hour
