Job Description
Pro Turf Lawn & Garden Center is an established, family-owned outdoor power equipment retail store located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. We provide repair, sales, and service of outdoor power equipment to Goldsboro and the surrounding communities. Our featured brands include Echo, Husqvarna, and Toro. We operate both a parts counter and repair center and repair most mower brands.
Currently, we are seeking to fill a full-time position in our parts department. As spring approaches, our store will become increasingly busy, and we would like to find someone quickly. We need somebody who is dependable, energetic, and

Qualifications
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience working in a retail parts environment preferably at an outdoor power equipment store but including an automobile, power sports, or tractor dealership
- In lieu of experience, ability to understand parts diagrams and outdoor power equipment parts (If you understand this, we can teach the rest.)
- Ability to drive a pickup truck and 16 foot trailer is not required but would be helpful
Essential Job Functions
- Communicate with customers in-person or via e-mail or phone
- Listen to a customer's needs via the telephone, take notes, and call back once an answer has been found
- Use a computer for tasks such as basic record keeping with Excel, basic check-out functions with a point-of-sale register, and online searches of parts databases
- Read parts diagrams and locate the appropriate part for customers
- Write in pertinent information on service tickets for customers who need their outdoor power equipment repaired
- Restock shelves
- Lift 50 pounds
- Assist other employees in pushing mowers inside and outside of a retail storefront and on and off customers' trailers
- Assist in the finance application process for customers who wish to purchase outdoor power equipment on credit
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
