Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various automotive systems using advanced automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, powertrains, electrical systems, and other vehicle components with precision and efficiency
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools to complete repairs
- Execute wheel alignments and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes to accurately identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
- Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers
- Assist in diesel engine repairs and GM vehicle servicing while adhering to safety standards and quality control procedures
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Solid mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines
- Familiarity with automotive schematics, diagnostics software, and ADAS calibration procedures
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly to clients
- Prior auto estimating experience is a plus; knowledge of GM vehicles is advantageous
- Valid certification in automotive repair or technician training; ASE certification preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
