Automotive Technician
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicles.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
- Troubleshoot engine, transmission, electrical, fuel, brake, suspension, and cooling systems.
- Use computerized diagnostic equipment and scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical problems.
- Perform oil changes, fluid services, brake repairs, tire services, and other maintenance.
- Inspect vehicles for safety and mechanical issues.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, parts, and labor.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate repair needs and recommendations clearly to customers, supervisors, or service advisors.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive repair experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures.
- Experience using diagnostic scanners and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and understand service manuals and wiring diagrams.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have own professional-grade hand tools.
- Ability to use shop equipment safely and properly.
- Valid driver's license.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in various positions.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment.
- Ability to work safely around vehicles, tools, machinery, oils, and automotive fluids.
Compensation
Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications, with opportunities for overtime, training, certification, and advancement.
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
