Nurse Manager (Assistant DPS)

Summary

A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Manager (Assistant Director of Patient Services) to oversee clinical operations for its Brooklyn-based home care team. This is a supervisory, office-based role. The position focuses on leadership, oversight, and support of field nurses and clinical coordination, with no individual caseload.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support field nurses providing care across diverse case types, including adult, pediatric, and behavioral/psychiatric

• Oversee the day-to-day work of the clinical coordinator and provide clinical guidance as needed

• Ensure clinical standards, documentation quality, and patient care protocols are consistently followed

• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of nursing staff as the team grows

• Collaborate with senior clinical leadership to maintain continuity of care and operational consistency

• Address clinical issues escalated from the field and provide direction and resolution

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Prior experience supervising nurses or serving in a clinical leadership role

• Home care experience strongly preferred; other nursing leadership backgrounds considered if clinically broad and senior

• Clinical background spanning multiple care settings (adult, pediatric, and/or behavioral health)

• Ability to lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field nurses
