Summary
An established healthcare supply company is seeking a Director of Business Development/Sales to drive growth across its nursing home customer base. This role leads business development, account management, and customer retention across facilities while partnering closely with operations, billing, and customer service. The position is highly relationship-driven and requires strong familiarity with the nursing home supply space.
Responsibilities
• Manage and grow relationships with nursing home operators across the tri-state area.
• Maintain and expand a large existing book of business.
• Lead business development strategy focused on retention, upselling, cross-selling, and new account growth.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts and operator groups.
• Partner with COO/CEO on go-to-market planning and sales strategy.
• Frequent field travel to nursing homes, operator offices, and industry partners.
Requirements
• Must have a background in the healthcare industry
• Strong business development and relationship-management experience with nursing home operators.
• Understanding of Medicare Part B, billing basics, vendor pricing, rebates, and margin structures.
• Ability to present, negotiate, and manage a wide range of accounts.
• Experience partnering with operations, customer service, and billing teams.
• Comfortable in a field-heavy, relationship-focused role within the tri-state market.
