Pro-Tac Resources operates two outdoor public shooting ranges in partnership with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and we're growing. We're searching for a motivated, dependable professional who wants to become an important part of that growth.
This position starts as a Customer Experience & Range Operations Specialist, where your primary responsibility is maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while delivering an exceptional customer experience. As you demonstrate leadership, initiative, and strong performance, you'll have opportunities to advance into a Lead Range Safety Officer role and future leadership opportunities.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing things well, likes to lear new skills, learns technology quickly, and wants to help build one of Indiana's premier shooting sports destinations.
Firearms knowledge is helpful—but a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and outstanding customer service skills are even more important.
Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers and create a friendly, professional atmosphere.
- Build relationships with new and returning shooters.
- Answer customer questions and help ensure every visit is enjoyable.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and positively.
Safety & Range Operations
- Monitor the firing line and enforce all range safety rules.
- Conduct safety briefings and assist new shooters.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and professional facility.
- Open and close the range following company procedures.
Retail & Customer Education
When range operations allow, you'll:
- Explain memberships, range passes, and our Buyers Club.
- Recommend products and accessories that genuinely improve the customer's experience.
- Process retail sales and firearm transfers.
- Help merchandise products and maintain attractive displays.
We believe in educating customers—not high-pressure sales.
Operations
- Maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Restock merchandise and supplies.
- Assist with inventory and operational tasks.
- Learn and operate our point-of-sale system and other business software.
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and daily operations.
Qualifications

Preferred (but not required)
- Retail or customer service experience.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
