Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized General Dental Office Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. In this essential role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Your expertise in medical administrative support, patient service, and office management will contribute to the efficient operation of our clinic.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency
- Schedule appointments using dental clinic management software, ensuring optimal patient flow and minimal wait times
- Handle phone communications with excellent phone etiquette, answering inquiries and directing calls appropriately
- Manage patient records by updating, filing, and maintaining accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
- Process insurance claims, verify health insurance coverage including Medicare and Medicaid, and perform medical billing and collection activities
- Review clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with HIPAA policies and medical terminology standards
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry (including 10 key typing), filing, and maintaining office supplies to ensure a well-organized front desk environment
Qualifications
- Must have prior experience in a dental or medical office setting
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of health insurance processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing medical records, documentation review, and administrative support tasks
- Must have at least High School Diploma (High School Name & Graduation Date).
The Pay Rate is depending on your experience.
This is not for students or about to be students or plan to get into school.
The office hour is from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.
Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
