What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legally Exempt Coordinator position at PRO ACTION OF STEUBEN AND YATES, INC.?
Manage the legally exempt case load and enrollment/ re-enrollment process according to prescribed timelines and interacting with representatives from LDSS and other counties as needed. Conduct required site visits to legally exempt in-home and family childcare providers, inspections, and complaints. Report suspected fraud or areas of concern. Coordinate with staff from Family Literacy and Training programs to provide Technical Assistance to Legally Exempt providers.

- Strong computer skills with basic knowledge of Excel Microsoft office and other office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax etc...
- Ability to interact with customers from a variety of backgrounds and with different levels of management.
- Ability to exercise occasional independent judgement.
- Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Associate’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
The ideal candidate must have a driver’s license, meeting agency standards and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
