PositionOverview
A highly polished and service-driven House Manager is sought for a Bel Air estatecomprised of multiple residences on a single property. This role requires a refined understanding of luxury household operations, with an emphasis on elevated hospitality, organization, and seamless execution.
This is a full-time, year-round position. While the principal is not in-residence full time, the House Manager will maintain continuous oversight of the estate—ensuring the property, systems, and service standards are consistently upheld at an exceptional level. During periodsof occupancy, the role transitions to a more hands-on, service-intensive presence.
The HouseManager serves as the on-site extension of the principal, ensuring readiness, discretion, and a consistently elevated living environment.
Estate Operations
- Oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations across multiple structures
- Maintain impeccable presentation, maintenance, and readiness of all residences at all times
- Coordinate and manage vendors, maintenance, and service providers with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Partner effectively with the existing housekeeper to uphold elevated standards
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs and preventative maintenance planning
Hospitality & Ambiance
- Curate a warm, refined environment with attention to lighting, music, scent, and overall atmosphere
- Prepare the home in advance of arrivals, ensuring a flawless and anticipatory experience
- Coordinate and execute intimate gatherings and occasional larger-scale events
- Provide hands-on, highly attentive support during periods of occupancy
Organization & Lifestyle Management
- Maintain exceptional organization of closets,wardrobes, and personalspaces
- Oversee inventory, provisioning, and household systems with precision
- Implement and refine organizational structures aligned with luxury living standards
- Ensure all residences are consistently guest-ready, regardless of occupancy schedule
Coordination &Communication
- Act as the primary on-site liaison with the principal’s New York-based Executive Assistant
- Ensure seamless communication regarding schedules, travel, and property readiness
- Anticipate needs and proactively prepare for arrivals, departures, and transitions
- Uphold the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience supporting UHNW principals within complex residential environments
- Strong hospitality sensibility with an intuitive understanding of service, presentation, and discretion
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational discipline
- Able to operate independently with ownership of the estate during periods of non-residency
- Flexible and responsive, with the ability to scale presence and intensity during occupancy
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Spanish language skills preferred
- Polished, discreet, and aligned with a service-first mindset
Schedule
- Full-time, year-round role based in Bel Air
- Typical schedule reflects standard weekday structure when the principal is not in residence
