Job Summary
Private Shield Security / Private Eyes Investigations is seeking Licensed Part-Time Private Investigators with the ability to conduct investigations and perform process serving. This role includes surveillance, evidence gathering, and lawful service of legal documents throughout Utah.
Ideal candidates are professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field.
Responsibilities
Conduct mobile and stationary surveillance
Gather facts, evidence, and documentation for assigned cases
Serve legal documents (summons, complaints, subpoenas, etc.) in compliance with Utah law
Complete affidavits and proof of service accurately and on time
Capture photo and video evidence in a lawful manner
Write clear, detailed, and court-ready investigative reports
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Communicate case updates with management as required
Requirements
Active Utah Private Investigator License – Required
Ability to legally perform process serving in Utah
Must be 18 years or older
Reliable vehicle suitable for surveillance and service attempts
Strong written communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays as needed)
Clean background (background check required)
Preferred Qualifications
Prior private investigation experience
Process serving experience
Surveillance experience
Law enforcement, military, or security background
Experience preparing affidavits and court-admissible reports
Schedule
