Overview
We are seeking a process server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering legal documents to individuals involved in court proceedings, ensuring that all documents are served in compliance with legal requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism.
Duties
- Serve legal documents, including summons, complaints, and subpoenas, to recipients in a timely manner
- Perform surveillance on defendants avoiding service, if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all served documents and ensure proper documentation is completed
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding the status of service
- Adhere to all laws and regulations governing the service of process
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No criminal record and a clean driving record - must be able to pass a background check
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle
- Military or law enforcement backgrounds are a plus
- Spanish-speakers are a plus
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times
