Southern-Style Family Cook – Part-Time
Location: Gainesville, GA
Pay: $22–$25 per hour
Schedule: Part-time, 2–3 days per week
We’re looking for a dependable, experienced cook who can prepare delicious, flavorful Southern-style meals for a private household.
You do not have to be a professional chef or have formal culinary training to be a great fit for this position. If you’re known for making great food and genuinely enjoy cooking for others, we’d love to hear from you!
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to earn additional part-time income whether you’re retired, semi-retired, have extra availability during the week, or simply want to make extra money doing something you enjoy.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare fresh, flavorful meals, including meats, vegetables, sides, and family favorites
- Prepare enough food for meals and leftovers throughout the week
- Follow household meal preferences and requests
- Suggest meal ideas and provide a list of ingredients needed
- Properly package and store prepared meals in the refrigerator
- Wash cookware, dishes, and utensils used during meal preparation
- Clean the stove, counters, and cooking areas after preparing meals
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen throughout the cooking process
All groceries and ingredients will be provided.
Cleanliness Is Very Important
We’re not only looking for someone whose food tastes great we also want someone who is a clean cook.
Good hygiene and food-handling habits are extremely important. This includes washing hands regularly, avoiding cross-contamination, properly handling raw and cooked foods, keeping preparation areas clean, and cleaning as you cook.

Professional chef experience is NOT required. Years of cooking for your own family, church gatherings, events, friends, or simply being the person everyone asks to cook absolutely counts!
