Experienced Dental Receptionist

We're a private, established Dental Practice in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. We have been in the community for 26 years. We are a hard working, motivated, tight-knit team, who takes pride in ensuring our patient's receive the best care!

We are a General Dentistry based practice, who is family oriented.

Our schedule and hours allow us to go home early and spend time with family, while only working 4 days a week!

The Role:

We're hiring an experienced Dental Receptionist to work hand-in-hand with our team.

You'll be responsible for our patients initial experience, from the first phone call, treatment presentation, and collecting payment.

This is not an entry-level position. You'll be responsible for helping our patients make financial and insurance decisions related to their dental care, so we're looking for someone who is already comfortable, and experienced with financial discussions

Schedule:
Tuesday–Friday| 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
Full-Time | No evenings or weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a busy multi-line phone system, scheduling and coordinating patient appointments
• Checking patients in and out efficiently, and warmly
• Discussing treatment plans and financial arrangements directly with patients
• Collecting patient payments and following up on outstanding balances and claims
• Verifying insurance benefits and reading/interpreting EOBs, and insurance estimates
• Maintaining accurate, and organized patient records
• Handling billing questions, and frustrated patients with professionalism and patience
• Working closely with the doctor and clinical team to keep patient flow on schedule

What You Need:

2 years of experience in a dental office front desk role - required.

• Working knowledge of dental insurance, EOBs, and patient financial arrangements
• Comfortable and confident discussing money with patients - collecting payment, explaining balances, presenting treatment cost estimates
• Strong multitasking skills under a busy, multi-line phone system
• Highschool diploma, or equivalent
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable handling confidential patient information (HIPPA)
• Experience using dental software
