Job Summary:
The Distribution Relationship Leader will report directly to the Chief Distribution Officer and will be responsible for overseeing and driving the growth, strategy, and performance of PCS insurance distribution partners. This leader will cover the Western States region creating innovative approaches to serve the unique needs of high-net-worth (HNW) clients, strengthen broker and agency partnerships, manage Strategic Relationship Managers, and ensure the delivery of tailored insurance solutions that protect the lifestyle and assets of HNW individuals. As a leader, you will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages success and accountability. The successful candidate is an effective communicator who can align and influence internal and external stakeholders while building trust and commitment for PCS.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Contribute to the ongoing communication of the underwriting strategy, including large account targets to deliver growth and profitability to maximize distribution value.
- Review National and Strategic broker plans, benchmark wealth segments, monitor top producer progress to capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
Partnership Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key brokers, agents, and distributors who specialize in HNW clientele.
- Identify distribution partners that align with PCS large account strategy and product offerings.
Sales Enablement
- Lead sales teams and Strategic Relationship Managers to achieve growth targets and improve penetration in the HNW market.
- Provide training and resources to ensure distributors understand the unique aspects of PCS HNW insurance products.
Client-Centric Solutions
- Collaborate with underwriting and clients to tailor offerings and unique insurance solutions.
Performance Management
- Monitor overall production of large account pipeline, activity, prospects and customer acquisition through pipeline reporting and Salesforce application.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly review channel performance against growth objectives.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Establish annual strategic priorities and goals, including administration of performance reviews and compensation for Strategic Relationship Managers.
- Work in collaboration with the Chief Distribution Officer and other field leadership on annual budgeting process.
- Work in collaboration with Distribution leadership on maintaining field segmentation.
- Oversee strategic business planning for agency distribution.
- Collaborate with National Distribution Leader, Complex Account Growth Leader and Underwriting to generate and expand new and existing business opportunities.
- This role requires 60% travel.
Qualifications:
- 10 years in personal insurance, with at least 5 years focusing on HNW client distribution.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and growth targets.
- Strong understanding of HNW client needs and luxury asset protection.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Highly skilled in strategic development, business building, and project execution, with a proven ability to deliver key programs on time.
- Remarkable communication skills, including the ability to develop and present clear and concise analysis and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with an analytical approach to solving complex problems.
- Keen business acumen and proven ability to dissect complex business issues, perform research and analysis and synthesize conclusions into a value- maximizing strategy.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams or distributors (preferred).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
