Position SummaryThe Business Analyst will work as part of Prithibi Consulting’s delivery team to support US-based utility clients with business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, testing support, and project documentation. The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior experience working with utility business processes (meter-to-cash, customer service, billing, metering, field operations, credit/collections, etc.). This is a role that will require interaction with multiple client teams, developers, QA, etc. Key Responsibilities• Requirements & Analysis- Conduct requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, JAD sessions, and document reviews.- Analyze current-state client processes and develop future-state workflows.- Document functional and business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.- Support requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle. • Utility Business Process Expertise- Support meter-to-cash operations including service orders, metering, billing, payments, and collections.- Define business rules, configuration needs, billing determinants, and exception management.- Support customer data modernization initiatives and digital customer experience improvements. • Project Delivery Support- Participate in solution design sessions.- Assist with test planning, test execution, UAT coordination, defect triage, and execution.- Support data migration mapping, validation, and reconciliation requirements.- Create BRDs, FRDs, workflow diagrams, data dictionaries, interface definitions, and training materials. • Client Interaction & Consulting- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders.- Communicate complex concepts in business-friendly language.- Support change management, business readiness, and training. Preferred Qualifications• 3–7 years of Business Analyst experience in utilities or regulated industry• Knowledge of utility business processes (meter-to-cash, billing, field operations)• Experience writing requirements, user stories, and process documentation• Familiarity with CIS, billing, AMI/MDM, CRM, or customer portals• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills• Experience with SDLC (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)• Experience with Oracle Utilities• Experience with CIS applications• Data migration and interface specification experience Soft Skills• Strong facilitation and communication skills• Ability to manage multiple priorities• Proactive and team-driven consulting mindset• Detail-oriented with focus on qualityCompany DescriptionPrithibi Consulting and Development Services (PCDS) is a small consulting and development company that provides technology services to utility clients. Salary : $65,000 - $115,000
