Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas of the facility
- Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as floor buffing, carpet cleaning, and industrial cleaning procedures
- Maintain restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with custodial tasks related to facilities maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support additional maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles, including commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing and stripping
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and supplies used in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines
- Prior experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and reliability are essential for success in this role
