Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across multiple areas including offices, restrooms, and common spaces
- Conduct deep cleaning procedures including carpet cleaning, floor buffing, and surface sanitation to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Maintain and operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and industrial scrubbers
- Restock supplies like paper products, hand soaps, and cleaning agents as needed
- Perform minor maintenance tasks or report repairs needed for facilities or equipment
- Follow safety protocols to ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with special projects such as painting or minor repairs when required
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and waxing is advantageous
- Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning procedures and custodial responsibilities highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
- Good organizational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently
