What You'll Be Doing
- Residential and light commercial sewer and water line excavations, repairs, and replacements.
- Safely operate heavy equipment and excavation machinery.
- Troubleshoot jobsite challenges, plan ahead, and keep projects running efficiently.
- Ensure all work meets Indiana plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards.
- Provide a professional, positive customer experience from start to finish.
- Mentor and train Excavation Assistants, helping them develop their skills.
- Complete job documentation, invoicing, and payment collection using company-provided technology.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, professional appearance, organized equipment, and a well-kept company truck.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in excavation and sewer/water line repairs or replacements.
- Experience safely operating and maintaining excavation equipment.
- Knowledge of trench safety, shoring systems, jackhammers, and concrete saws.
- OSHA 10-Hour Certification and Competent Person Training.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- CDL preferred, but not required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Great communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- A team player who takes ownership, leads by example, and takes pride in a job well done.
