About the Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Prismic team as a VP, Private Credit and Alternative Investments. The VP, Private Credit and Alternative Investments is responsible for managing alternative asset classes, sourcing alpha opportunities, and driving technological integration and operational excellence across the investment function. Reporting directly to the CIO, this individual will play a critical role in achieving superior returns through alternative strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee investment and management in private credit structures, private equity special situations, infrastructure, emerging market debt, asset-backed financing investments.
- Identify, evaluate, and lead investment decision for alpha-generating opportunities in partnership with CIO and Investment Committee.
- Set strategic direction for operational excellence across alternative investments, including technology enablement and scalable investment processes.
- Manage liquidity, collateral, and operational risks effectively to optimize portfolio performance and flexibility.
- Ensure comprehensive performance measurement and transparent reporting for internal and external stakeholders using Factset and other PM tools.
- Stay abreast of market developments, competitor benchmarking, and industry best practices to inform dynamic and adaptive investment strategies.
- Champion governance and compliance, maintaining robust oversight and due diligence processes for alternative investments.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and other industry professionals.
- Ensure alignment with the company’s values and culture.
- Ability to travel to Bermuda and US-based Prismic locations as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant experience in alternative investments including private equity, private credit, and specialized asset classes.
- Proven track record in operational leadership, technology integration, and process improvement within an investment context.
- Strong network in private markets, infrastructure, and specialty finance sectors.
- Demonstrated executive presence with ability to engage Board, regulators, and rating agencies and broker-dealers / reinsurance counterparties
- Ability to translate complex investment and risk concepts into clear, actionable insights for executive and Board audiences
- Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Prismic is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $215,000 - $295,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on may factors including geographic location, candidate experience and skills.
