Are you detail-oriented, reliable, and possess excellent fine motor skills? Join our small production team in Cary, NC, as a Medical Device Cleanroom Technician. You'll play a critical role in the precise assembly and documentation of components used in medical endoscopes, working within a controlled ISO 8 clean room environment to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
Position Summary
This is a hands-on assembly role focused on handling, organizing, assembling, and documenting medical device components. Success requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to execute precision manual assembly while strictly adhering to quality and safety protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Precision Assembly & Quality Control
- Manual Assembly: Perform hand assembly of precision mechanical and medical components under clean room conditions, adhering strictly to necessary manufacturing specifications.
- Adhesives & Lot Numbers: Use correct adhesives/primers for component assembly and accurately record all LOT numbers (critical for traceability).
- Documentation: Maintain verification documents to ensure the highest quality and accuracy of products.
- Production Planning: Print work orders and assemble required components daily to achieve the production plan.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of your work area and optimization of corresponding processes, ensuring compliance with company quality objectives.
Cleanroom Maintenance & Sterilization
- Workstation Sterilization: Sterilize and disinfect your workstation at the start of the shift, during the shift, weekly, and monthly according to strict work instructions to prevent contamination.
- Cleanroom Upkeep: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize the entire clean room on a regular schedule as per work instructions.
- Safety Compliance: Facilitate a work environment that supports a Safe and Healthy Culture; comply with Safety Laws and Regulations and use required Safety Equipment.
Inventory & Organization
- Component Identification: Identify correct components and maintain high levels of accuracy and organization.
- Inventory Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels on components and consumables to ensure there are no production interruptions.
Qualifications & Benefits
Experience & Education:
- Experience: Mid-Entry Level (1β2 years of experience in a clean room or assembly is preferred).
- Function: Experience in mechanical assembly or a similar precision manufacturing role is beneficial.
- Supervision: Reports to the Manufacturing and Operations Director.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation Range: $45,000 β $50,000/year
