Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced Control Room Operator (CRO) to support operations of a TM2500 Generation 8 gas turbine power plant in Memphis, TN.
The CRO will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of gas turbines (GTs), Balance of Plant (BOP) systems, and auxiliary equipment from the Central Control Room (CCR).
This role requires a disciplined operator with strong SCADA/control systems experience and hands-on TM2500 exposure.
Control Room Operations
- Operate TM2500 gas turbines and plant systems per OEM procedures
- Monitor SCADA, protection, and control systems in real time
- Respond immediately to alarms, trips, and abnormal conditions
- Monitor CCTV systems and escalate security concerns
- Perform routine inspections, rounds, and operational checklists
- Support fuel truck offloading operations per procedures
- Assist with plant operations and basic maintenance tasks
- Ensure proper use of tools and auxiliary equipment
- Report incidents, equipment failures, and safety concerns immediately
- Follow all HSE, environmental, and operational procedures
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and shift documentation
- Ensure compliance with plant operational and contractual requirements
- Maintain clean and organized CCR environment
- Perform detailed shift handovers
- Support training of junior personnel when required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of power plant operations experience
- Hands-on TM2500 Generation 8 experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong experience with SCADA / control room operations
- Ability to work rotating shifts (day/night)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows systems
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Experience with BOP systems and auxiliary equipment
- Familiarity with protection systems and plant controls
- Knowledge of ISO and HSE standards in industrial environments
