Job Title: Calibration Engineer
Location: Novi, Michigan (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Define calibration strategies for torque control, regen braking, drivability, and system limits
- Develop and execute test plans across dyno, vehicle, road, and HIL environments
- Perform calibration testing for torque response, thermal limits, traction control, and energy efficiency
- Analyze data logs (MDF, BLF, CSV) and optimize system performance
- Tune parameters to balance performance, efficiency, and safety
- Validate diagnostics (DTCs, OBD compliance, limp modes)
- Ensure safety alignment with ISO 26262 concepts
- Manage calibration versions, configurations, and release packages
- Collaborate with controls, HIL, vehicle dynamics, BMS, and NVH teams
- Support CI/CD integration and regression testing
Required Qualifications:
- 4–8 years of experience in EV/HEV calibration or propulsion systems
- Strong experience with CANape, CANoe, or ETAS INCA
- Expertise in motor control, torque arbitration, and regen strategies
- Experience with MATLAB or Python for data analysis
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet vehicle networks
- Understanding of diagnostics (OBD) and safety concepts (ISO 26262)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering
