About the Position

Priscilla’s Garden is looking for a dedicated Nursery & Mother Plant Technician to take responsibility for the day-to-day care, health, organization, propagation, and compliance of our mother plants, clones, genetics, and nursery area.

This is a hands-on cultivation position with a strong focus on mother plant health and clone production.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of eventually taking ownership of the daily nursery routine without needing constant supervision.

Previous cannabis cloning, propagation, mother plant, greenhouse, or commercial nursery experience is strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesMother Plants & Genetics

• Provide daily care and maintenance of mother plants and nursery plants
• Maintain healthy, vigorous mother stock for consistent clone production
• Water and feed mother plants according to established schedules
• Prune, train, shape, and maintain mother plants
• Maintain an organized inventory of mother plants and genetics
• Properly identify and label cultivars/genetics
• Monitor mother plants for overall health, vigor, pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress
• Communicate plant-health concerns to management before they become larger problems

Cloning & Propagation

• Take, prepare, label, and maintain clones
• Properly prepare cloning trays, plugs, domes, tools, and equipment
• Monitor clones throughout the rooting process
• Transplant successfully rooted clones
• Monitor and track rooting rates, clone survival rates, losses, and overall propagation performance
• Identify problems affecting rooting or clone health
• Maintain accurate clone counts and genetics throughout the propagation process
• Work toward consistent, healthy, uniform clone production

Plant Health, IPM & Sanitation

• Follow the facility's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) procedures
• Routinely inspect plants for pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, root problems, environmental stress, and abnormal growth
• Recognize plant-health problems early and immediately communicate concerns
• Maintain strict sanitation and nursery cleanliness standards
• Clean and sanitize cloning trays, domes, tools, equipment, work surfaces, irrigation components, and nursery areas
• Follow biosecurity and sanitation procedures designed to prevent pests, pathogens, and cross-contamination
• Keep the mother and nursery areas clean, organized, and professional at all times

Metrc, Compliance & Recordkeeping

This position also requires attention to the compliance side of the nursery operation.

Responsibilities may include:

• Entering and maintaining plant information in Metrc
• Applying and maintaining Metrc plant tags
• Tracking mothers, clones, plant counts, plant movements, and inventory
• Ensuring physical plant inventory accurately matches Metrc and internal records
• Maintaining accurate genetics and cultivar information
• Maintaining nursery and propagation records
• Assisting with inventory counts and compliance audits
• Reporting inventory discrepancies immediately
• Following company SOPs and applicable Oklahoma cannabis compliance requirements

Previous Metrc experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong attention to detail and computer skills.

Future Nursery Sales Responsibilities

As our nursery operation expands, this position may also become involved in supporting future commercial clone sales.

Future responsibilities may include:

• Creating and maintaining clone menus
• Updating menus with available genetics and clone quantities
• Keeping future clone availability organized and accurate
• Coordinating nursery inventory with clone availability
• Helping organize genetics and availability for nursery customers
• Communicating current and upcoming clone availability with management and sales staff
• Assisting with other nursery inventory and administrative responsibilities as the department grows

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Cannabis cultivation is physical work. Applicants must be comfortable working in an active cultivation environment.

This position requires the ability to:

• Work in hot and humid environments
• Work on your feet for extended periods
• Regularly bend, squat, kneel, reach, push, and pull
• Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Move plants, cultivation supplies, soil/media, nutrients, water, trays, and equipment
• Work around fertilizers, nutrients, growing media, water, cannabis plants, and cultivation equipment
• Perform cleaning and sanitation duties as part of the regular job
• Complete physically demanding tasks when necessary

• Has previous cannabis cultivation, cloning, propagation, nursery, or greenhouse experience
• Has experience working with mother plants and taking clones
• Understands the importance of healthy mother stock
• Understands basic plant nutrition and irrigation
• Has knowledge of sanitation and IPM practices
• Can identify plant-health problems early
• Understands the importance of clone rooting and survival rates
• Is highly organized and detail-oriented
• Takes accurate records
• Is comfortable using computers or tablets for Metrc and recordkeeping
• Can follow established SOPs and schedules
• Can manage routine daily responsibilities independently
• Does not require constant supervision or reminders
• Communicates problems quickly instead of allowing them to continue
• Is dependable, punctual, and consistent
• Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace
• Is willing to learn and grow with the company

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to Goldsby, Oklahoma is required
• Must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Must meet applicable requirements to work at an Oklahoma licensed cannabis cultivation facility
• Must have or be able to obtain any required Oklahoma cannabis employee credential
• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding cultivation work
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in one or more of the following:

• Cannabis cloning and propagation
• Mother plant management
• Commercial nursery production
• Greenhouse cultivation
• Cannabis cultivation
• Metrc
• IPM
• Plant health and pest identification
• Managing multiple cannabis genetics/cultivars
• Tracking clone production and rooting success

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience.

Candidates with strong mother plant, cloning, propagation, and Metrc experience may be considered toward the higher end of the range.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
