The BAP serves as an intermediary between the Commerce and the Florida PALM Project, aiming to devise technical solutions that cater to user needs.
· This role requires expertise in the program area(s) it supports, as well as a thorough understanding of Florida PALM Project’s systems and capabilities.
· The BAP’s responsibilities include evaluating Commerce’s operational processes to understand their strengths and weaknesses to identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance system functions.
· The BAP plays a key role in redesigning business processes and documenting these changes to accommodate as needed for new technology.
· This involves translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing changes to such specifications.
· The BAP possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance Commerce’s competitive edge.
· The BAP must assist with other duties related to the transitioning to Florida PALM. · The BAP possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance Commerce’s competitive edge.
· The BAP must assist with other duties related to the transitioning to Florida PALM.
· The BAP assists with converting existing internal processes in MS Access and SQL Server to process utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services, Alteryx, SharePoint, and Tableau to ensure mission critical processes and reports function properly after PALM launch date. Sustains momentum for Project-driven readiness tasks and internal readiness activities with transitioning to Florida PALM Project.
Qualifications:
· Knowledge and experience with Florida Planning Accounting and Ledger Management (PALM) Project;
· Knowledge of the Florida PALM implementation timeline and Readiness Workplan;
· Relevant technical or business work experience with MS Access and SQL Server to process utilizing SQL Server Analysis Services, Alteryx, SharePoint, and Tableau;
Experience with managing and completing complex projects relevant to both IT and business needs.
