About the Role:
The Staff Accountant is a key role within the SMB segment at Priority Payments, reporting to the Accounting Manager. This position is responsible for calculating and processing commission payments, creating schedules and recording journal entries for month end close, preparing and review monthly account reconciliations; as well as adhering to and confirming compliance with established internal control requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare support schedules and record journal entries.
- Payment of monthly commissions (residual) files.
- Manage inventory.
- Prepare analysis of revenue and expenses for several business units.
- Prepare Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely.
- Work with SMB department on select projects.
- Support internal and external audit teams with audit requests.

- Works effectively with auditors, vendors, and internal teams.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in Finance / Accounting.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Experience using NetSuite, Blackline, a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on strong Excel skills.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation range: $73,000-$91,185
