Payroll Administrator

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a well-established company in the aerospace industry. This position will be responsible for managing payroll operations across four separate companies, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while working closely with accounting and project management teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience, a strong understanding of payroll accounting, and experience using Quantum, Paychex, and ADP. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and capable of independently managing payroll responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll for approximately 200 employees across four separate companies.

• Utilize Quantum, Paychex, and ADP to process payroll, maintain employee records, and generate reports.

• Review and verify employee timesheets, overtime, deductions, bonuses, payroll adjustments, and other compensation information.

• Work closely with the accounting department on payroll reconciliations, general ledger reporting, and expense allocations.

• Coordinate with project teams to accurately track and allocate employee labor hours and project-related payroll expenses.

• Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee questions, and payroll-related accounting issues.

• Assist with payroll audits, month-end and year-end reporting, and reconciliations.

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information and company financial records.

• Independently manage payroll deadlines and ensure all payroll responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Extensive previous payroll administration experience required.

• Experience processing payroll for multiple companies or business entities preferred.

• Experience with Quantum, Paychex, and ADP strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, reconciliations, general ledger reporting, and labor cost allocations.

• Familiarity with payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and federal and state payroll regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with accounting, HR, and project management teams.

• Previous experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or a similar industry preferred.
