Position Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and quality production of precision-machined parts using CNC mills and/or lathes. Success in this position requires strong blueprint reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances in a production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components
- Perform basic machine-side program edits (G-code / M-code knowledge preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T
- Perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine setup corrections
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts meet quality and production specifications
- Troubleshoot minor machining or setup issues to maintain production flow
- Follow all shop safety, quality, and production procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, or both)
- Setup experience strongly preferred, but experienced operators with editing capabilities will be considered
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls is a plus
- Manufacturing or precision machining background required
Shifts Available
- 1st Shift Daytime hours
- 2nd Shift Shift differential available
- Weekend Shift Full-time hours in fewer workdays
