Position Overview
Personal Injury Law Firm seeking a full-time Legal Assistant/Paralegal or Case Manager with at least 1 year of personal injury experience. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional who can manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- File documents in California State Courts using attorney service vendors
- Maintain calendars for hearings, deadlines, depositions, and discovery
- Draft and respond to discovery (including objections)
- Prepare motions, including tables of contents and authorities
- Schedule depositions and coordinate court reporters/transcripts
- Request, track, and summarize medical records
- Manage and organize case files (digital and physical)
- Scan, upload, and prepare documents for filing
- Communicate with clients via phone/email and provide case updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year personal injury experience (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication (grammar/spelling essential)
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accountability
